Note to Slide users in Turkey
If you use Slide in Turkey, you've probably noticed that you are no longer able to access the Slide website or our applications (you may not even be able to access this post). The Turkish government has accused Slide of "harboring pictures and articles that are considered to be insulting to Ataturk," founder of the republic.
We have contacted the government of Turkey in an effort to resolve this situation and will keep you updated on any changes. In the meantime, we're trying our best to enable Turkish citizens to access our website and applications again. Slide joins several other popular web services such as YouTube, Facebook and MySpace that have been banned in various countries (including Turkey, Pakistan, China and the UAE) for user-generated content.
If you have any questions or comments, please email us at feedback@slide.com. For those of you who can access this website or have friends in Turkey, please encourage them to contact their local government authority.

It's a shame really. To ban (and hold responsible) an application for the 'misuse' of some of its members...
Freedom of speech and expression has still a long way to go in Turkey.
But bans such as this actually works to awaken the public demand for more freedoms from within.

Turkey neither north korean nor iran its just has own law system ;some people is shaming his country but no problem. You wrote the solution: "We have contacted the government" .If you remove the images and ask the gov.for removing ban. They should remove it asap.
